In short: Evren Satır founded Travelpedia DMC Turizm, a TÜRSAB-licensed Group A travel agency (license no. 10807), in 2018, and created Turkey Itineraries to offer private tours of Türkiye to American travelers. He studied Tourism Guidance and Travel Agency Management at Adnan Menderes University (class of 2009), leads the team that designs every route on this site.
Background
Evren holds a university degree in Tourism Guidance and Travel Agency Management from the Faculty of Tourism at Adnan Menderes University, where he graduated in 2009. He trained as a tour guide alongside the classmates who now lead our tours. Rather than guiding himself, he went on to the planning and operations side of travel: building itineraries, contracting hotels and transport, and running the logistics that make a multi-day trip work.
In 2018 he founded Travelpedia DMC Turizm. Since then he has built a group of Istanbul travel businesses, including Bosphorus cruises, Turkish bath experiences and visits to Çamlıca Tower and the Cistern of Theodosius, sold to visitors from around the world through international booking platforms.
His role at Turkey Itineraries
- Route design: he plans each itinerary day by day, choosing the order of sites, driving and flight times and hotels so the pace works for travelers who want to see a lot without rushing.
- Destination guides: he oversees our guides to Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus and other places, which the team writes and the licensed guide who works there most reviews.
- Your questions: messages sent through our contact form are answered by the Turkey Itineraries team.
