Fethiye sits on a sheltered bay on the Lycian coast of southwest Türkiye, about 50 minutes by car from Dalaman Airport. It suits travelers who want sea and scenery: Ölüdeniz, a private boat trip around the bays, and ruins such as Tlos and the abandoned village of Kayaköy. Read our Fethiye guide.

For swimming, plan between late May and mid-October. May, June, September and October are the most comfortable months: the sea is warm and the heat at the ruins is manageable. In July and August daytime highs on the coast reach about 35–36°C (mid-90s °F), so sightseeing starts early and afternoons are for the water.

The 12-day tour includes the domestic flight from Dalaman back to Istanbul. The 14-day Grand Tour travels the whole loop by private vehicle with a ferry across the Dardanelles, so it has no domestic flights.
